When I looked in the mirror today,
I could not see what the others do.


I see scared, shy, and weak.
They see confident, bold and strong.


One day I will take off these masks.
Would they be able to see?


I was the strong one, never to cry.


They always saw me to be confident
and bold, but inside the screams
are muffled.


They can't know how I feel.


I have to take care of others.
No time to focus on me.


So I say this now to all that
will hear.


Stop and listen to those
around you.


They might be crying inside.


Will you hear it?
Can you look past the well crafted mask?
